The decoration method decides how a kit looks, how long it lasts and what it costs per piece. For teamwear, the choice is usually between sublimation and screen print.
Sublimation
Sublimation dyes the design into polyester fabric. It never cracks, peels or fades, and every panel can carry colour, gradients and patterns. It is the right choice for match jerseys, rashguards and anything worn hard and washed often.
Screen print
Screen print lays ink on top of the fabric. It suits cotton tees and hoodies, simple logos and fan merch, and it is cost-effective on larger runs.
Rule of thumb
- Match kits and jerseys: sublimation
- Cotton tees and hoodies: screen print or embroidery
- Names and numbers: heat transfer or sublimation
